Pre-wire and low voltage

Wired right before the drywall goes up.

Everything that runs on low voltage, from TVs and speakers to keypads, cameras, Wi-Fi and shades, needs its cable in the wall before drywall. Adding it later means cutting and patching finished walls. ITS reviews the plans, runs and labels every cable, and works in an order that keeps low voltage off the critical path.

What it includes

Designed around how you live.

Every system is planned on your drawings, priced room by room, and supported by the same ITS team after you move in.

Plan review first

We mark every TV, speaker, keypad, camera, access point and shade on the drawings before the first cable is pulled.

A standard for every TV

Every TV location gets three Cat6 cables and one RG6 coax, so it is ready for whatever is mounted there.

Labeled and documented

Every cable is labeled, so trim-out is faster and service is easier later.

Commercial and high-rise

Structured cabling, cameras, access control and BDA/DAS for commercial buildings, high-rise residences and sales centers.

How we work

Four clear steps.

This is the order we work in so low voltage never holds up drywall.

STEP 01

Plan review

We review the drawings and place every device on the plans.

STEP 02

Pre-wire

Every cable is run and labeled after framing, before insulation and drywall.

STEP 03

Rough inspection

Where the permit requires it, the wiring is inspected while the walls are still open.

STEP 04

Trim-out and programming

Devices go in after paint, then the systems are programmed and tested.

Questions

Common questions.

If your question is not here, call 786.266.7676 and we will answer it directly.

When should low voltage start on a new build?

During plan review, before framing is finished. The pre-wire goes in after framing and before insulation and drywall.

What should be wired before drywall?

TV locations, speakers, keypads, cameras, Wi-Fi access points, shade wiring and the cable back to the equipment location. Adding them later means cutting finished walls.

What is a rough inspection?

Where the permit requires it, the inspector checks the low voltage wiring while the walls are open, before insulation and drywall.

Does ITS work with general contractors and project managers?

Yes. We work from the GC schedule and plan our work so low voltage does not hold up drywall.

Next step

Let's plan it before the walls close.
